About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Python, React, and TypeScript, who thrives in a Linux desktop environment and builds solutions on AWS. This role blends 80% Individual Contributor with 20% people mgt. You'll guide a small, high-performing engineering team while designing, developing, and delivering full-stack applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and development of scalable applications using Python on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend.
- Own and manage full project lifecycle – from planning and implementation to code reviews and deployment on AWS.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, design, and dev teams.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and guidance for junior/mid engineers.
- Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented codebases.
- Oversee repository structure, pull request quality, and design decisions.
- Support DevOps best practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure reliability on AWS.
- Drive continuous improvement in team workflows, tooling, and technical processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Python (as a general-purpose backend language)
- React + TypeScript for frontend development
- AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS)
- Node.js (bonus for API or tooling)
- 2+ years in a leadership role (team/project lead)
- Experience working in a Linux desktop development environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing real-world or demo projects involving Python, React, TypeScript, and SQL
- Familiarity with code repository management, reviewing PRs, and architectural design principles
Preferred Skills
- Experience building and maintaining full-stack applications without relying heavily on specific frameworks
- Comfort working in fast-paced, agile environments
- Knowledge of codebase optimization, security practices, and scalable architecture

- Project portfolio featuring work samples or live demos relevant to:
- React/TypeScript frontends
- SQL/MySQL database integration
- Include GitHub links, screenshots, or working demos (code repositories are preferred)
- If no public repos, create a lightweight demo project and upload to GitHub
