Pharmacy Technician - Processing/Front-End

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Processing/Front-End Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, focusing on front-end and processing duties. This role requires a professional who can efficiently manage customer interactions and prescription processing in a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and process refills and new prescriptions using pharmacy software.
• Assist walk-in customers at the front desk with will call transactions.
• Handle voicemails and triage calls to pharmacists in the processing room.
• Fax refill requests to prescribers and support processing pharmacists with various small projects.
• Rotate between the processing area and the front desk, performing duties as described, except assisting walk-in customers, which is exclusive to the front desk.
• Conduct secondary tasks such as sorting hard copies, cutting bubble wrap for shipping, shredding PHI, and other organizational tasks.
• Perform tasks requiring physical effort, including lifting and moving containers up to 20 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy Technician Certification or License.
• At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency in pharmacy software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong data entry and typing skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Proven reliability and positive attendance record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a call center or retail pharmacy setting is advantageous.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
• Strong team player with a demonstrated work ethic.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts rotating weekly, including every third Saturday. Shifts include opening (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), mid (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), and closing (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM). The facility is modern and spacious, providing great employee areas. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
