Front-End Leaning Full-Stack Engineer

Role Description

This is a hybrid (potentially fully remote for the right candidate) contract role for a Full Stack Engineer, with a strong front-end focus. The Full Stack Engineer will be involved in both front-end and back-end web development tasks, software development, and overall full-stack development. They will collaborate with team members to design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable software. Daily tasks will include writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting software issues, and participating in code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong front-end focus

• Expert knowledge of React and Next.js, with a focus on performance, SSR, and clean component architecture

• Skilled in form validation and complex state management (e.g., react-hook-form, zod, zustand)

• Experienced in authentication management, including logged-in state, secure JWT handling, and OAuth implementation (e.g., NextAuth, Clerk, Auth0, Supabase/Firebase Auth …)

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks like Flask or FastAPI

• Experience working with Postgres (or Mongo), REST APIs, and a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure)

• Comfort working in ambiguity and moving fast—shipping scrappy first versions and refining based on real feedback

• Familiarity with AI workflows (LLMs, chat UIs) or eagerness to learn quickly

• Clear, concise communication and a builder mindset

Bonus Points

• Experience with v0 and Figma integration

• Experience with an advanced table/grid library (AG Grid, Bryntum …)

• You’ve worked in early-stage startups or led projects end-to-end

• Passionate about UX and know how to build delightful, intuitive interfaces

• Experience with RAG pipelines, OpenAI, LLM calls or similar tools

• Interest in B2B software, sourcing/procurement workflows, RFPs or competitive intelligence
